This workshop highlights the importance of assertiveness, inviting participants to redefine what youth voice and power look and feel like; to learn strategies that build youth agency; and to determine how to share more programmatic power with youth.

Workshop Objectives

In this session, you’ll learn to:

• Define assertiveness and understand how it benefits youth in academic and life success
• Discuss how different strategies lead to greater assertiveness
• Adapt their own content to include more opportunities for real-world problem solving, decision-making, and relevance
